Pretty much my sentiments exactly. I'd love to hear him use more range on some of the tracks (
Confessions springs to mind) when you have a voice like that you'd better fucking show it off! Hopefully he kicks in up a notch or two in the following verses. The echo-y-ness bothers me as well, (
What Makes a Man for example, sounds like he's at the other end of a hallway!) I liked the clean-ness there was to his vocals on Sometimes, it showcases his flawless voice much better IMO.
BUT, minor criticisms aside, I could not be any more excited about this album and I love what I've heard.
Body in a Box and
Constant Knot sound wonderful And
Sleeping Sickness sounds sooo fantastic. I teared up a wee bit listening to those few seconds of
The Girl <3
