It seems all the bands I listen to have fans that don't really overlap with Nirvana (The Beatles, Neil Young - to an extent, Alexisonfire, Rise Against, and then of course city and colour) so does anyone here listen to them? they struck me like a band never has and i have every album

I listen to them occaisonally..not really anything more than "just okay" in my opinion though. I'll take hardcore over them anyday :P

I guess its a taste, but they are really raw and nice, for someone that previously listened to popular rock, its a gorgeous listening. You Know You're Right is still my favourite all time song and still makes me shiver

I do like a little Nirvana from time to time; tend to prefer the darker songs though, like Polly and Something In The Way. Not really that big of a fan, never really took to the whole grunge thing, I was in my Led Zeppelin and Classic Rock phase when Grunge was strong, that and Punk Rock.

I think Nirvana was very talented and they had a different sound. I like them on occasion, but I do not own any of their albums.

I like Nirvana and will listen to them when they are on the radio. I do not own any of their albums, but I think that they were pretty good at creating music.

Nirvana was a big influence in my formative years. In high school I was totally a grunge kid, and Nirvana was at the top of my list. I haven't listened to them much lately, but when they come up on shuffle, I don't skip past.

I do think that the were a very talented band and it is such a shame that they never got the chance to keep going.

Look at Dave Grohl with Foo Fighters. They would never have enjoyed the popularity they have without the end of Nirvana.

True, so many more great bands have been handed the opportunity to do better for themselves due to the end of Nirvana.
