Who is your favorite artist? A painter, singer or author? I love Mark Rothko's paintings.

For art..I was recently exposed to John Heartfield in my Art History class and he's pretty awesome.

Favorite Author is definately George Orwell, and probably tied with him is Charles Bukowski..but I've only read one of his books.

and I guess I don't have a favorite singer..since I listen mostly to bands.

I'm not really into art, THAT much,
but being a BIG Tool fan, I've been exposed to Alex Grey...
I think he does some extraordinary work.
Have 4 paintings of him in my apartment...
Over-Soul, Kissing, Gaia and Collective Vision are the names
of the paintings....

When it comes to artist I have a few favorites...
Dallas, Greg Graffin/Brett Guerwitz (Bad Religion),
Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), Maynard J. Keenan (Tool),
Morrissey (The Smiths)...
When it comes to hip hop, 2Pac, Cormega and Gang Starr
are my favorites...

Don't really have any favorites authors...

In June I went to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam and it was amazing. I wanted to see Gustav Klimpt's work, but we didn't get a chance. I really enjoy Klimpt's color and strange proportion. His work is some of my favorite.

As far as visual art goes, I really like Andy Warhol. I like so many other artists though. I don't have a favorite author or singer really, there are just so many great musical artists and writers out there to choose from, and so many different genres!

i'm quite a fan of henderson cisz, martin johnson heade and jean pierre capron.

although, i'm not artistically inclined in anyway tbh. i just love their work.
