Inconceivable!

This just in, According to some columnist in the Calgary Herald Stephen Harper uses the doublethink technique of George Orwell's 1984

There are some really talented people on here when it comes to writing poetry. I used to write it here and there but haven't done it in years. I am not even sure where my notebooks are now but I think that I am going to go find them.

I'd love to read and see more of everyone's art.

Does anyone have any sketches or something to show off? Is there an art gallery somewhere on here?

My recordings are pretty amateur, but I've got a few songs posted at my MySpace page:

MySpace.com - tonyLkollman - Howard Lake, Minnesota - Acoustic / Indie / Rock - www.myspace.com/tonylkollman

That's really great Twineball! I like your style. How long have you been playing?

the summer dies and so do i
i take a risk, the swallow cries

and ill stop right here in mid path
and bow down below its wrath
of cold dead whips and broken hearts
of failed hopes and miserable starts

to continue on another day
or to lay alone as death and decay
to not care again for myself or others
to not hug, kiss or smother

ill wake up in this place called home
supposedly meant to give us hope
but my morales can't be recovered
so is there something else to discover

i dont know how much more i can take
after the 14th time i've had to partake
my head is low and my hopes even lower
my pace is slow and my thoughts slower

my heart does not pump with every breath i take
and with every breath my lungs, they ache
love begins with the beat of a heart
but love cannot end, if it has yet to start

Great stuff, I love it when someone really puts his or her soul into a work of art.

Better Off Standing

dragging your feet on the ground
you got a vulnerable target
slower than the rest
only paper protects us

I've only air in my hand
but they've got screws
get me outta here
before I go after you

A cent for a thought
a dollar for another
But I'll give you thoughts
these you couldn't have bought

close my eyes
its over
forever im floating, floating...
find a way home tomorrow, maybe

A pocket full of colours is all I have
get me out
A pocket ful of dollars is all I had
bet me out

A cent for a thought
a dollar for another
But I'll give you thoughts
these couldn't be taught

Find a place for me
for me and the brainwashed
come back to our little tribe
After you get your reign squashed

she says I judge too much
she says I don't see
she says I classify too much
I feel I can't be

Tomorrow I won't get there
Tomorrow I fall
Tomorrow I swear
Tomorrow I crawl

Get up and continues this trek
you didn't start long ago
but you've got ages more of this
until you can let go

Why haven't I seen this thread before?

Anyway, I love these lyrics, they are pretty intense. How long have you been writing? Have you ever had any professional training?
