Let's start posting our poetry or prose here folks. Perhaps we can keep it in a vein that aims towards City and Colours trademark sound. Correct me if I'm wrong on that suggestion admin. In the meantime I'm going to go hunt down some dusty poems.

Echoes

the mind

drifts inside

a new morning

listen

a sunrise in spectacular song

eyes relish nature brilliant

quieting all afterthought

hummingbird sings now

listen

grace will beckon

an elegant vision

that caresses the mind

hold strong

listen

morning began this

quiet journey

beyond material icons

that quiet the mind

listen again

Thats good man. Im not very good at poetry but I will try sometime when I think of something.

i guess ill post my latest stuff, its more lyrics than it is a poem but here yea go:

Better Off Standing

dragging your feet on the ground
you got a vulnerable target
slower than the rest
only paper protects us

I've only air in my hand
but they've got screws
get me outta here
before I go after you

A cent for a thought
a dollar for another
But I'll give you thoughts
these you couldn't have bought

close my eyes
its over
forever im floating, floating...
find a way home tomorrow, maybe

A pocket full of colours is all I have
get me out

bet me out

these couldn't be taught

Find a place for me
for me and the brainwashed
come back to our little tribe
After you get your reign squashed

she says I judge too much

I feel I can't be

Tomorrow I won't get there

Tomorrow I crawl

Get up and continues this trek
you didn't start long ago
but you've got ages more of this
until you can let go

So whats up with all these people in here writing poetry but not making music. Thats a waste of talent, I tell ya.

Poetry and music are both means of creative expression. Not everyone can sing and/or play an instrument :P
