She is an R&B singer..I`m pretty sure a clip of her new video is in an advertisement for something..I see it all the time.

I think it's a nice mixture of music styles their. Artists collaborating can be hit or miss. This is definitely a hit.

I am from the states and have never heard of this artist. I am always looking for new artists to listen to so I am going to see what I can find online.

Are there any songs of hers that anyone would recommend to a first time listener?

Some people have heard of Jully Black but she's not known as the greatest contribution this country has ever made to music by any means, she gets her video played on Much Music sometimes and that's how I know about her, not really because people talk about her like crazy

Jully Black is incredible. She's growing a fanbase but R&B really doesn't have a following in Canada, at least in supporting its home-grown artists. Her single is "7 Day Fool" which she closed the 2008 Juno awards with. Her album Revolution is great from top to bottom, and I am not a huge R&B fan. The song Catch Me When I Fall is amazing.

I can't stand her. lol.
The only time I've been able to put up with her is when her and DG sang Love Don't Live Here Anymore.

I quite like RnB music, and she's got such an awesome and strong voice.
I like her.
& personally, I think she blew dal out of the water when they both played LDLHA.
