Hi, I'm going to see dallas on thursday and am just trying to plan the night. Says the show starts at 8, is there an opener, or is that when the show starts?

thanks

Sleepercar & Black lungs are the opening acts for the Canadian tour.
So, the show should start at 8, if that's what your tickets say, but doors should open about an hour earlier.

I felt bad for both opening acts at the Vancouver show. they played to less than half the people who actually were there. And even worse, during both people got up and left. Talk about insulting. Even during Dallas, people were getting up, leaving, coming back, leaving, moving to empty seats. I hate people.

Victoria was much more polite. Black Lungs and Sleepercar had much more of an audience to perform for. Man.. I think I'll go to more shows in Victoria mainly because the crowds are well behaved.

Aw man I hate audiences like that, esepcially in a concert setting. Like I can sort of understand it at like a pub show (even though it still annoys me) but if someone is doing you the courtesy of getting up on a stage and performing for you, you should be respectful; no matter if you like them or not.

I really really don't get it. At all. Why bother to go if all they're going to do is just frickin talk constantly.
Even if i needed to pee, I still wouldn't move. Just out of respect.

That was like me. I had to pee about 2 songs into Wade's set.. and I was like.. nope, I'm not leaving, even during the short intermissions while they changed gear.. I was like, nope, because I'll be gone and they'll start and I will have to come in while they are playing.. so basically I held it until after the show... after I met Dallas... both times (vancouver/victoria shows) I wasn't going to miss anything!

I know what you mean. Really, it's like.. can people not just sit there, sing along, clap along? Why do they need to talk with their friends... do that outside, or better yet.. just don't bother showing up. That was another thing, I was amazed at how many seats were empty. I had 4 seats in the row infront of me.. and 4 seats in the row infront of that empty. And the two seats next to me empty. I mean it was nice to not have people RIGHT infront of me.. I actually had a pretty good view.. but it's like.. you have tickets.. why are you not there? I wouldn't have missed the show for anything.

Oh but back to you saying it made you feel like shit. Everytime after Dallas comes to Vancouver and I get the chance to talk with him, one of the first things I say is 'thank you for coming to Vancouver' because it means so much to me that he comes out here. Even if it's only once a year. And no matter how shitty or great the crowd is.. I want him to know that at least one person is greatful that he took the time to play here, ya know?
