Piano is even better!! There was a video on youtube of him singing Sensible Heart in Edmonton last year... and he did it entirely on piano. I got tears in my eyes, I loved it so much.

I say both and I'm not even vaguely noob. I just happen to think some songs work better solo and some songs work better with a full band.

I chose the solo stuff over the band; because just the guitar and the voice is what first attracted me to city and colour but i must say, when i seen dallas a few months ago certain songs such as Sam Malone really suited the other instruments. Comin' Home was definately the best of the night (its my fave C&C song so of course im going to say that) but the way he started it off by himself then closer to the end he added the band and also added a guitar solo, it just simply blew me away!

Fuck I just realized how much I'd love to have an mp3 or recorded version of Sam Malone with a full band. So awesome.
